We have many memories of occasions spent with the extended Smart families, especially at Crystal Brook. ‘Twas a gift of a richly blessed childhood. Our sympathy to Maxine and you all, as you prepare to commemorate and celebrate your loved Beth. 🌷 With our love, Mary-Lyn and on behalf of all the Haymes’ kids! (...Anne, Elizabeth and Patrick) 🥂

To our beloved grandbeth, the matriarch of our family who always had the cupboards stocked with chocolate biscuits and nutrigrain and some "nice-cream" in the freezer. Who made us eat pizza with a knife and fork at the dinner table because it wasn't a "picnic". Who was still killing snakes in her backyard well into her 80's and getting out for a round of golf and weekly bridge night. You were the source of so many great travel stories, an amazing feat to be backpacking around Europe before it was a popular or common thing to be doing. You showed us what it was to be a strong woman and have inspired us all to live life on our own terms. You will be forever missed and I'm forever thankful I was able to spend the day with you the last time I was in Australia. Rarely did we get an opportunity to spend time alone. We will carry you in our hearts from this day forward, thank-you for being the best grandma anyone could ask for, sorry I won't be there. We wish we could be and we will be watching and thinking of you all x
