Tan Teng Hwang -

I have very fond memories of uncle Steven particularly during my studies in Adelaide. I was and will always remain so very grateful to all of you in helping me settle down when I first moved over but to him in particular for the help he provided me when I had moved into private residences in university. I remember fretting about buying white goods to furnish my rental unit but Uncle Steven was a godsend and was very quickly able to help me procure very serviceable and affordable items. It doesn’t seem like a big thing now but it meant the world to me then as I’d never had to worry about living independently prior to that. I had hoped to visit this year after such a long time away but given present circumstances it wasn’t possible. At least we had managed to meet in one of his & and Evelyn’s recent trips to KL. From all my experiences of him, he was a very loving & caring man. His passing will be a hard blow for all of you but from my conversations with Alvin, the consolation is that his is now at peace and free of pain. My love and thoughts go out to all of you. Love Teng Hwang

Our deepest condolences to the Chua family on the loss of its beloved patriarch. Living far from family is difficult, but it made us appreciate the times we spent with our uncle as all the more precious. We remember him as full of life and are grateful to have stayed in close contact over WhatsApp in recent years. We will always cherish the meals and conversations we were able to share together on his trips to K.L. In loving memory from your nieces and nephews, Swee Fong, Ken, Teen, and Pin
