Dear Steve, Chris and Eva. I wanted to pass on my condolences, and tell you that Sue had an impact on my life as first my teacher, then later as a colleague at UniSA. She was always a friendly face that made the campus feel like a family more than a workplace. I will always remember our chats and the advice she gave on teaching and learning.

Sue Tyerman we have known for 20 years. Sue is our son’s mother in law. What a generous person who belongs to a generous family. I know what she means to her family and we have always considered them family too. An extraordinary person who had her finger on every pulse and loved to share her knowledge. Her passion for gardening means her plants are spread far and wide. What I see in her I see in her children and in her grandchildren. It’s too short a time for Sue to be in their world but know inherently she will be there everyday one way or another. We will treasure those 20 years and the memories we keep in our hearts. To Steve and Sue what a partnership you have that lives on in your family. Love always Nick and Gabrielle always the in laws and out laws as our WhatsApp group name.

To Steve, Chris and Eva, I have so many fond memories of Sue and spending time with you all on holiday trips, dinners, fishing and many school holiday activities and adventures over the years. Sue was a truly wonderful person, amazing Mum, talented knitter, knowledgeable gardener, fantastic cook and a person who I felt very privileged to have known over so many years. I still make her Honey Chicken to this day and will cherish this recipe forever! As a young woman, I looked up to her as a women with a career in science which made me realize that this was a possibility for myself. I will forever keep the book she gave me when I started university; she made an unbelievable impact on my life. Love to you all.

Dear Steve, Chris and Eva. Sue was one in a million and we will miss her greatly. Our Families have been Friends since our children went to kindergarten at Reynella a few years ago now and from the beginning Sue was always the shining light helping at the kindy in many ways leading the way for us who weren’t quite sure what to do in many ways. We remember the Christmas Dinners we shared as our own Families were far away, what times we had . Sue was always ready to share her recipes and her cuttings as she had a very generous and outgoing nature with a very special smile. Sue never changed always seeing the best in everyone and everything. We have been richer by just having her in our lives.

Dear Steve, Chris and Eva, I was so deeply saddened when I heard the news about Sue. Sue had such an impact on people, always welcoming, generous and full of knowledge…. Her smile and laugh were infectious. I will always remember the times that our families spent together, camping trips, dinners and just that absolute feeling of warmth as I entered your home… I always felt I was part of your family, as Sue would always welcome me with open arms and great food! I will always cherish these memories, her love and spirit has touched so many, and will live on in your hearts forever.

Ron and Jane West -

Such a sad time. Sue was one of our dear friends during the university years, with many great memories of dinners together and life in the inner suburbs around Sydney. First house purchases, renovations and nights out. As life happened we lost close contact for some of the intervening periods but have more recently renewed the friendship. It was wonderful to catch up a few months ago and relive some memories. Our thoughts now are with Steve, Chris, Eva and family.
