to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 14 Barker Road, Prospect,
on TUESDAY, July 28, 2026, commencing at 11:00 a.m.,
followed by his burial at the Dudley Park Cemetery, Exeter Terrace, Dudley Park.

David was a much loved person, and quite a character, with a very sharp wit & sense of humour, whom I met when he managed the infamous Earl of Zetland Hotel, in the city! After the Earl closed in 1995 he opened the Earl’s Tavern, in Flinders St, which was where he shifted his amazing collection of Malt Whiskies. A few years after the Tavern closed Dave began drinking around in the Saracens Head pub, on Carrington St, where I renewed my friendship with him, and I always found him very effusive company, & a very eloquent talker on a whole range of of differing subjects.
