In my early years as a rep in the Grocery Industry , i had the pleasure to have Foodland Prospect on my territory and therefor meet Andy and his family. I always found him to happy and cheerful, and her shop was a great place to share a coffee and chat and learn. I will always remember those times fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful family in this time and only sad that I was unable to attend his service. A great man and mentor to many and a wonderful family man Rest in peace Andy

It was my privilege to assist Andy at Calvary North Adelaide in my role as a volunteer in the Oncology Ward. During this time he never complained and remained ever hopeful of a speedy recovery. My thoughts and prayers remain with Vera and family at this time.

I first met Andy when he had his first delicatessen at Henley Beach called "Burnley Hive Deli". My first thought was.... great an Italian. We are going to get on like a house on fire, and we did.Forty plus years later I was still calling on him , wherever he was with his business, I was there.During that time I had the pleasure of meeting the whole family,Vera ,David &Samantha & even Alex, Andy's accountant. When visiting him at Prospect Foodland we would look at each others photos of our grandchildren and have a laugh of what the kids were doing,It sadend me greatly when I heard the news of his passing. The last text I received from Andy read....and I quote " Hi Rob, Just wanted to thank you for your services and friendship over the last 40+ years. You will always be my longest friend.Thank you ...Andy.Andy was a true Businessman, Gentleman,Loving Husband,Father and Grandfather, and most of all...."a friend for life". Andy was part of my neighbourhood Shopping Centre at Prospect for as long as I have lived in Prospect - since the 70s.It is comforting seeing the same faces when you do something as regular as the weekly shopping. Andy was pretty much always there. I always wanted to support the local & smallish IGA supermarket. Andy's was so much easier to get around. But it could have done with a facelift over the years.I am shocked that Andy passed way so soon after handing over the business. He did not have much retirement time to spend with his family. I will really miss his presence at our supermarket. It is not the same without him. Sincere Sympathy to Andy's family. So sad.
