Funeral Mass for Br Des will be offered in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church,
14 Barker Road, Prospect on FRIDAY, April 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
The Committal Service will take place in the Catholic Western Section of
West Terrace Cemetery, West Terrace, Adelaide at approximately 12:45 p.m.
The Funeral Service is available by livestream using the link provided above.
A Vigil Service will be held in the Foley Room, The Monastery Function Centre,
15 Cross Road, Urrbrae on THURSDAY, April 21, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Caritas Australia would be appreciated.

Died at Southern Cross Care Fullarton on Good Friday, April 15, 2022.
A Christian Brother for 73 years.
Des dedicated his life to the education of
youth and adults as a teacher and spiritual director.
He had a deep interest in peace, justice and non-violence,
and fostering adult leadership in Catholic Education.
A much loved member of the Christian Brothers,
and the O’Grady and Walsh Families.
Sincere thanks to the staff of Southern Cross Care
at Fullarton for their care of Des these past years.
Be intent on prayer,
and whatever may happen will turn to our good.

A privelege to be able to be apart of this commemoration of Des's life- I have been a part of his C.B.journey for 73 years as a classmate and regular attendee at several of our Group Reunions-as organiser of half of these and fellow attendee at the others I appreciated his positive support of the Group and true spirit of Brotherhood-another saint to assist us on our way home.
