THE funeral service for Douglas will be held at the Acacia Chapel, Enfield Memorial Park, Gordon Ave, Clearview, on THURSDAY, May 14, commencing at 10:15 a.m., followed immediately by his burial in the Wirra Wonga section of the cemetery. At the family’s request, mourners are encouraged to please wear something bright and colourful.

I was so sorry to hear about the death of Douglas. He was a lovely man with impeccable manners. Both he and Paula were great company and they will both be missed. I know Douglas hoped to get his telegram for reaching 100, but 99 years is a wonderful feat.
