Colonel Light Gardens Uniting Church, 560 Goodwood Road, Daw Park, on
FRIDAY, December 15, 2023, commencing at 11:00 a.m.
Born January 10, 1930
Passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023
Aged 93 years.
Loving and cherished husband of June.
Kind and supportive father and father-in-law of
Catherine and Ray, Karen and Grant, Genevieve and Geoff.
Inspirational and caring grandfather of
Samantha and Aidan, Melissa and Brock, Jessica, Kelly and Jeffrey, Kenzie and Xavier.
Great grandfather of Evie, Ari and Hunter.
Always putting others first
My grandpa was the best grandpa in the whole world. I feel so blessed I got to grow up with you by my side. I have so many wonderful memories of you and our family adventures. The highlight of the year was racing up the airport ramp when we arrived in from qld to see you and grandma waiting for us, and how you held my hand so tight and your crosswords in the morning I will always love and miss you. All my love Jess.

The calmest most gentle man in the world. A person who felt like home. We will miss you so much but we are so lucky to have a guardian angel like you watching over us now. Any time things have been hard in life and I’ve felt like giving up, I always hear you in the back of my mind saying “there’s no such thing as can’t” and it has helped me immeasurably. You are in all of my fondest memories in life, and I know you will be watching me writing this in heaven while humming and doing the crossword puzzle. To the best Grandpa in the world, I love you.
