Kathy’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at
St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 268 Grote Street, Adelaide,
on FRIDAY, November 7th, 2025, commencing at 11:00 am.
The Committal will then follow in the Catholic F Section of
the Centennial Park Cemetery, 760 Goodwood Road, Pasadena.
The Funeral Mass will also be broadcast via livestream.

A force to be reckoned with, Kathryn had passion in spades.
She loved hard, whether that was her family, friends, travel, history, or fine food.
By air, by sea, or by land, Kathryn embraced what it meant to be a world traveller.
Whether up in the sky, where she spent her career as a flight attendant with Qantas
or exploring history and heritage across Europe and in Lebanon,
Kathryn was someone who could truly call her address “the globe”.
Kathryn made her home in Melbourne,
a city which allowed her to blend some of her favourite things –
good coffee, top-tier restaurants, fashionable shopping,
and a European-inspired atmosphere in a place she could share with family and friends.
Connecting her passion for travel and history with spiritual discovery,
Kathryn shared the story of Our Lady of Loreto,
patroness of aviators, pilots and air travellers, with those closest to her,
and even the occasional stranger she met along the way.
If you ever received a Lady of Loreto medal,
you knew you were near and dear to Kathryn’s heart.
Among Kathryn’s many talents was her creative side –
sketching, music, and even arranging flowers –
she had an eye and an ear for beautiful things.
While Kathryn dreamt of seeing even more of the world in retirement,
the last decade wasn’t kind to her.
Battling many illnesses,
including breast cancer and most notably ‘short bowel syndrome’
which severely limited her ability to absorb food nutrients,
Kathryn fought through it all with the tenacious spirit for which she was known.
But after years of enduring these health challenges,
she was tired and eventually succumbed to this debilitating illness.
Rest soundly dear Kathy, you have finished the fight.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Kathy’s untimely death, may her soul Rest in Peace. My condolences to Kathy’s family at this very sad time, may the Grace of the Lord help you as you grieve. I worked with Kathy for many decades and it was indeed a pleasure to be on the same crew as her, she was a cherished and valued colleague. My sincere sympathy to the Nader family.
You were such a beautiful cousin and one that I could talk to about anything and everything. I'm so glad I picked you up and we went to the Lebanese restaurant and had a meal and a great chat. I had so many things to chat about but we never got the chance. It was like the last supper the last time we spend together. I will miss you greatly and hope to see you again in heaven. Over many years, I worked with Kathy, flying the skies over Australia, with Qantas. She is remembered for her kind heart, calmness, humor, story-telling, faith and passion for the world around her. A unique gem. Rest Peacefully.

To our dear, dear Kath, You came into our lives through your friendship with our sister, Judy. You shared your sense of fun, love and laughter with so many of our extended family. You joined us for many of our family celebrations - most of them happy and some sad. You were welcomed into our homes and shared dinners, birthdays, Christenings and holidays with many members of our family. The Fitzgibbons family loved you and will miss you deeply.
