We have known Ken for over 30 years as members of the Sunbeam Car Club. He was a great guy and a very involved club member and friend. We have also lost a fine musician - we enjoyed the concerts he took part in. Our deepest sympathy to Janet and family.

Ken was for many years a valued member of our Just Strings orchestra. He was a gentle man, quick to greet each and every one with friendly smile, generous, determined, and committed to our group. He had a goal to return to us in the new year. Sadly he did not make it. Condolences to Janet and family for their loss. Bill and Robyn Barker

Ken was an enthusiastic member of Just Strings. He kept attending rehearsals until his body would not allow it and, even then, he kept in touch and wanted to get back. So much so, that his passing was a real surprise to me. Ken was an absolute gentleman and I will miss him greatly. My condolences to his lovely family. RIP Ken

I have known uncle Ken for well over 60 years. He was a fine fellow, always friendly, welcoming and willing to help. He was VERY talented being a musician, owner of many businesses, and a boat builder (I nearly sank it!) among other things. To Jan, Allison, Brenton and family we send our condolences and best wishes in this time of loss. Love and prayers, Paul and Lynn Raftery

To Dearest Jan and Family Ken was very dear to me. So much more than a violin student. We had a very special friendship and shared some lovely musical times with the pieces he wanted to work on. Make no mistake, Ken was very skilled as a violinist. He had natural ability and such a love of beautiful music. We shared that in common and had lots of laughs together over so many things! I will miss Ken and am sorry I cannot be there to farewell him today. If there is an orchestra up in heaven, Ken will be right there front and centre continuing his love of music. Sending my love and condolences . Hugs. Mary Raptis. Allegro Music

Ken was a very special person. With his love of family and faith and his love of music, he shared so much of himself with all those around him. I was lucky enough to meet Ken one night at Just Strings when he asked me if I would give him some lessons. That was some eight years ago and we went on to share our love of beautiful violin music. Ken also had a wicked sense of humour so we laughed a lot and understood one another! I am so grateful to have spent time with Jan and Ken with visits to each others homes for coffee and a chat. Those were special times that I will cherish. Great company with great people. If there is an orchestra in heaven Ken will find and be playing his beloved violin front and centre. Watch out Angels! I'll really miss you Ken. God Bless and Safe Journey. Much Love to Jan and Family xxx

I have just watched the livestream of Ken's funeral and felt so pleased to be a part of this, as much as we could from WA. So much love to you all. Your tributes to Ken and the mass to celebrate his life with you all was beautiful. A big hug to you, Aunty Janet. We are thinking of you so much in Perth. Lisa xxx

Ken was my practice partner for many years in our Just Strings group. He was always warm and welcoming to everyone and a kind, thoughtful and generous man and a man of great integrity. Ken was always willing to share his expertise with me, and his coffee, both of which were gratefully accepted! He made the best coffee! I will miss his friendship and the wonderful times we shared playing our music together. With his gentle guidance he taught me a lot. Ken had a great sense of humour too and I will cherish the times having a coffee and chat with him and Jan. Steadfast and true and devoted to Jan and his family, a true gentleman who will be missed very much. Love and sincerest condolences to Jan, Alli and family
